Been there twice. Thought the food and service were very good. Best bacon in town. Pancakes hot -- eggs cooked perfectly.

Tasty pancake house fare without the sketchy-ness that inhabits others ( read: waffle house). Clean, well lit and friendly, the food was fresh and tasty. Large selection of breakfast and dinner crepes as well as the usual pancake and waffle combos. Delicious turkey burger on roll with ripe tomatoes. Home fries or hash browns with most meals. Prices are very reasonable. This is going to be one of my " I don't want to cook, don't want a big meal" go to places.

Very slow service, food was not good. Hash browns were not cooked, eggs over medium were crispy and hard. Toast was cold. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Was looking forward to a good breakfast place nearby. An all around poor visit when they first opened, I gave them a pass since they were new. Been back a few times since, still no better. Mediocre food, missing items from orders, and disgruntled staff seems to be the norm here. The last time I went, the waitress accidentally brought an extra side of bacon to my table. I guess she was too busy complaining about her boss to get our order right. When we informed her and told her we'd keep it (and pay for it), she practically insisted she take it back to the kitchen. We were left wondering if she was going to serve it to another table! Strange...

I popped in yesterday for a meetup with some mommy friends of mine and 12 little ones. The restaurant set aside a few tables for us to sit together at in the back room. The staff were very accommodating and patient since little ones can be quite unpredictable. Kids 12 and under eat free with a purchase of an adult entree Monday through Friday and it worked out very well for all of us. I got the chocolate filled crepes topped with strawberries and chocolate chips. It was light and yummy. My son got the grilled cheese with applesauce, which works every time. I figured they would have brought the kids meals out first, but they brought all the food out at once. It was quite a bit of wait and it wouldn't have been that noticeable if the kids got theirs first. Other than that, the service was friendly and they divided the checks for us with no problem.

Service was slow, and waitstaff was not personable at all. I ordered an omelette with pancakes as the side. The omelette came out fine, however the pancake had an additional ingredient - short, curly human (I assume) hair. When I finally located our mostly absent waiter, I asked for the manager. After another untimely wait, the manager came out, picked up the plate, flicked at the hair and offered to get me another order of pancakes. No, thank you. My meal was comped. They did not seem concerned or surprised that there had been a hair, so I can only gather that this is not the first time this has happened. We will not be returning.

OK food terrible service. The waitess walked by our table numerous times and brought water that I asked for 30 minutes prior just as we were ready to leave with the check and payment in hand and walked by numerous times again.I can safely say I will not go back.

We came here at 8:30am on a Sunday hoping to beat the masses. We kinda did, when we got in there wasn't a wait and we were sat right away. However, the restaurant filled up pretty quickly and by the time we left, everyone working there were running around like they didn't know what to do. The store itself made me feel grimey, the walls were dirty and the a/c was dropping water on one of the seats in our booth. Not a good sign. I ordered a coffee and waters fit the table, the server brings two coffees and charges my boyfriend for one (even after I mentioned to him that he didn't want or order coffee). The food... The eggs didn't have much flavor and the hash browns were kinda undercooked for my liking. My boys liked their pancakes but those are hard to mess up. Everything on the menu seemed a bit overpriced for the grime fest ambiance and unattentive service. In my opinion, scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon and (disgustingly burnt) toast shouldn't cost $9. For that price I could go somewhere nice and get great food with awesome service. This is the third pancake house I've been to and as much as I really want to like it, I just can't.

I never was a breakfast person. I like sleeping in and just going straight for lunch. However, growing up and now thinking that I'm a mature adult I like to indulge in breakfast. This location is awesome. Their service is fast and courteous. We (Sam and I) usually get a quick bite to eat here and are on our merry way to usually do a long list of errands on the weekends. I have never eaten anything other than Huevos Rancheros here. It comes with any way you want the eggs cooked, sautéed veggies and salsa and cream on the side. You have a choice of potatoes as well with that entree. Also buttermilk pancakes on the side are lovely and really a lot of food. Sam usually gets potatoes and eggs any style and loves it. This location is conveniently located off of Boynton Beach Road very close to the turnpike exit of Boynton Beach. Overall, I would recommend it for breakfast and the perfect way to start off your weekend.~

I LOVE the Original Pancake House in Wellington, so I always expect to like this location too, but it just doesn't compare. I've been here at various times throughout the day/evening and always tend to have very nice servers, but everything seems to take a long time, even when they aren't very crowded. My food is always so-so, but never amazing. On the plus side, they do have free kid's meals all day Monday-Friday.

I have been going to the pancake house for a few years. As of late the place has been going down hill. The ceiling vents are dripping water and are dirty; sitting very close to the tables. I was there this weekend and have decided to never return. I do visit other Pancake houses and will continue.

Come with a big appetite. The 49ers is a breakfast filler. The 3 large crepe style pancakes are great. I am here on a Monday morning in the summer so, there was no wait. Shout out to our waitress Camille...delightful and repeatedly filling our cups with their delicious coffee.

What's the difference between a glacier and a meal at the Original Pancake House? Watching anything move requires a time lapse camera and could take years. Just to get two dinner salads took the kitchen nearly 30 minutes, which is insane. I came here because my family had eaten here with my in-laws a couple of times and it was okay. I went for the basics. The grilled cheese was light on cheese, and the potatoes were not so wonderful. The buckwheat pancakes were amazing. The service was pretty good. I think the one-star ratings are unfair, but, even judged by other area Original Pancake Houses, this one could step it up a bit. I could see my way to a four star if they could jump start the kitchen staff into turning out better food and a bit faster.

The eggs. I'm not big on chain restaurants but I indulge every once in a while. Not bad...Not uber-great either ..

My wife and I happened to drive by on the way to a chapel and decided we wanted to go here for breakfast the next morning. We visited around 11:00 a.m. and the place was packed. I thought that was a great sign. I had the pumpkin chocolate chip pancakes and my wife had the pecan waffles. We shared a large fruit salad. They didn't cheat me on the quantity of the pancakes nor the amount of chocolate chips. It was so good, I didn't need syrup on my pancakes. My wife loved the waffles which were topped with pecans. The fruit salad was fresh except for the honey dew was tasteless. The coffee was good and hot. The service was very good and friendly. Prices were very reasonable. I will be back the next time I'm in the area. We have a lot of diners up in New Jersey and this place would do very well up there.

The service is very slow, but the food is consistent & good. My favorites are apple crepe & cherry crepes.

Been to other O.P.H. and all are good but this location the food was horrible. The pancakes were cold, order sunny side up eggs and egg were dry. The service was standard. Seem that since restaurant is so busy they cook everything ahead of time which explain the cold cakes and the egg drying out over the heat lamps.

If I could have rated it 1/2 a star I would have! Our first visit to this place and it will be our last. Prices are unreal for the food! Seated us back by the kitchen and all we heard were loud noises and banging. Pancakes were like microwaved because plate was too hot for coming off the grill. Egg was cold, precooked home fries that were barely reheated. Only reason it got 1/2 the star was that it looked clean on the surface. Don't waste your money!!!!!!!! It's the biggest rip off in all of Boynton Beach. So sorry we went there because my stomach is already getting upset!

Just moved in across the street and on a Monday morning figured why not. Well for an empty dinning room it took me 10 minutes to get seated, an extra 10 minutes to get a server (almost left altogether). Then the server brought my husband the wrong drink. Getting our order in to paying took 40 minutes and the food was just ok. This took way too long for a Monday morning. None of the servers seemed to have any pep in their step. With the other fast, tasty and reliable options around I will take my money elsewhere.

Update. I've been having a stretch of bad luck, so a friend took me to dinner. The fact that someone else was paying the bill may have something to do with it, but the food seemed better. I certainly DID NOT GET THE RUBEN this time. I think my friend had three coffee refills. The waitress was very nice and attentive.

Amazing service here unlike the other pancake house in boca. Michael was out server. He is awesome! Very quick, and the drinks never went empty. The server and everyone else in the restaurant was so attentive and polite. The food is amazing. Will be back here!

Disgusting and I'm trying to be nice. Quite frankly the service is just plain awful barely existent. We walk in,the place is 1/4 full and we get the manager/ hostess telling us some mumbled story about how the tables need cleaning. Thank you, TMI. We are brought to a minute table for two with dirty napkins underneath and a stack of napkins under one table leg to keep the very teeny tiny table from tottering. My husband ordered corned beef hash with eggs. MISTAKE #2 I ordered BLT on whole wheat toast. MISTAKE # 3 What is MISTAKE # 1? GOING THRU THE DOORS. 25 minutes later..... That's right. No food, and do you know who's fault that is? That's right folks mine, because I had the chutzpah to order the bacon well done. Finally the poison comes out of the kitchen. BLT stale bread, very underripe tomatoes, and one very sickly piece of wilted brown lettuce. Oh, and get this the BACON IS NOT WELL DONE. Really I am not kidding. Corned beef hash all corned beef and about two shakers of salt. My suggestion, DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS RESTAURANT AND ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK I contacted their corporate headquarters. No response. Apparently the food got to them also.

I am amazed when I read some of these negative reviews. The place is excellent for what it claims to be. Never had bad service or food. The "Dutch Baby" rules!!

Awful customer service. Took almost 30 minutes to place an order. I ordered a pecan pancake and they brought me a plain one instead so I sent it back. They brought me back the same pancake with a bunch of pecans dumped on top. Took even longer to actually pay the bill.

My sincere advice to OPH is to just stick to the Breakfast part of the menu and white out or better still cut out the rest of the menu. The wife liked her French Toast and the Pops in law liked his Fried eggs and Canadian Bacon and that is hard to destroy. I was not a happy camper as I stepped out of the box and ordered the Chicken Panini sandwhich (they forgot to add soggy and tasteless on the menu)...this was most definitely the worst Panini sandwhich I have had in my life! Our server was courteous and made the coffee palatable. I shall return only if I am on a Propofol drip the next time........

I had eggs since I don't eat pancakes and they had very little filler in them. I had coffee and found out that it was decaf even though I didn't ask for decaf. My kids enjoyed the meal wife thought it was ok. Not worth the trip to many places that are better. Ok doesn't do it now-a-days.

The service here takes so long, you could travel on foot to Mount Doom, hurl the One Ring into it's firey depths and make the perilous journey back before your coffee hits the table. By then, you will be forever changed and no promise of pancakes, even ones filled with bananas and delicious peanut butter chips, will quell your wanderlust.

People who give more than 1 star don't know food... This place is the worst! Nasty eggs, burned bacon & what they call home fries are the pits! I rather go to Denny's & I'm not a fan of Denny's!

I think the only reason my parents keep coming here is because it's only about two miles from our house. The service is comical, the food is OK (but nothing to write home about) and the restaurant is clean and cheap. The blueberry pancakes were standard and OK, but the syrup was thin and not great. I actually wanted the strawberry pancakes, but they were one of the most expensive items on the menu at $9.99 (for a small stack of pancakes!). I thought the service was just strange, and our waitress talked to herself and seemed to be perpetually confused. I wouldn't choose this restaurant on my own, but if my parents are paying, I'd join.

I will never eat at this pancake house again and if any of my friends and family with kids should follow. I went with my three daughters ages 8,6,2 and mil. There was about ten people in restaurant including us and my youngest was fussing, my mil let her walk around in the back room and got a high chair. Manager comes over and tells us we can't put high chair at booth.. So she moved to table next to us and he comes over again and says he will ask us to leave due to people complaining about the noise.. Are you for real at that moment we should of gotten up and left but kids were eating.. But you bet your life I will warn and tell everyone with kids to go too Ihop before they go to the pancake house cause its far from kid friendly.....

Service is normally pretty poor. A few more seasoned servers have their act together, but lack of good management is apparent for tolerating a lot of mediocre service. The franchise for OPH in Northern Illinois is held (for 40 years!) by the Walker Brothers who have taken this operation to the extreme. Franchisees should have mandatory visit to to Chicago area to see it done right with Kona Blend coffee and rich whipping cream served. The apple pancake is a specialty, but needs to be ordered "well done" so that it isn't mushy. B Beach seems to be getting better at this. SEVERAL (yup yelling) times my wife and I have been seated and after waiting 10 or 15 minutes with nobody bringing us water, coffee, or taking an order, have WALKED OUT and the hostess simply says "have a nice evening" without realizing that we didn't eat. This afternoon I had the same lousy service experience and flagged down a server who took care of me. After I ordered the adjoining booth (3 patrons) were complaining to the Manager about the server who I never saw. What does this tell you? It's too bad because the menu and prices (a little too cheap!) are great for the area. Charge a little more and get your act together.

I have been here to eat a couple times. Both times I was not impressed. The food is mediocre & overpriced. Service was all over the place. The seating arrangements need to be rearranged as well. I now venture 15 minutes away from home to dine at the IHOP on Congress.

My husband and I had breakfast there today and have been sick all day! The hash browns were cold, oily and tasted like they were days old. We each only ate one or two, but believe they were what made us both sick. We will never, ever go back. We waited over 10 minutes to be acknowledged, the service was terrible, and the food made us sick. Don't go...make a statement and run them out of town.

Place needs help! Food is not cooked properly and doesn't taste good. Service is not good either. My eggs were raw and my home fries were burned.. Friend found a hair on her omelet.. Won't be going back there.

I sent the following to Cathy Tennell, G.M., but have not received a response. I'm not surprised, however, as that is in line with the service I recently received on March 4 at this restaurant. Last night, my family ate at your location in West Boynton Beach and since this was our 5th time there, our expectations were based on our previous visits. This was definitely NOT the case. The service was terrible, the food not acceptable and the manager not helpful. Our waitress, Nutoshia, couldn't have been worse. We had to ask her several times to get just about anything, such as lemon for the water, extra napkins, etc. She didn't seem capable of multitasking, that is, serving various tables. She didn't bring half and half for the coffee until we asked 2-3 times, and my daughter had to walk up to her near the kitchen to ask to have our coffee cups refilled - not an easy task for her, since she is handicapped. Throughout our dinner, we had to hunt her down in order to get anything. If we ever go back, we'll make sure not to have her wait on us. The food was not good. My wife ordered an egg omelet with light cheese. Guess what? It came out with heavy cheese so she had to scoop out the excess cheese. My favorite, Swedish pancakes were really a sad state of affairs. In my previous visits, my pancakes were served crispy and delicate - you could just about see through them. I loved it and kept coming back just for this. However, last night, they were served limp and soggy. I told Nutoshia that she should have the cook make my a new batch, but she said she couldn't do that unless I gave my current order back to her to take into the kitchen. I was starved at the point and wasn't about ready to do that, so I asked for the manager. The manager, who said his name is "G," wasn't very helpful. He explained to me that the Swedish Pancakes are served the way I got them, so people can add the jelly or whatever, and then roll them up. I explained that in my previous 4 visits, they were served crispy and delicate, but he just kept telling me about rolling them up. He was going to take back my plate, but I told him just to order me another batch that were crispy and light. He finally got the message and did it, coming back to the table with 2 more pancakes - cooked just right. At this point, my stomach was in knots and I just didn't enjoy the meal the way I had in the past. I told my wife to return her omelet with heavy cheese, but she was so hungry at this point, that she just scooped out the excess cheese. I told the manager about this, as well, but he seemed oblivious to our concern. I don't believe the manager handled this the way he should have. There should have been no argument in getting my pancakes the way I wanted them, and he should not have charged my wife for her over-cheesed omelet. At the very least! I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants good service and good food.
